Zos Chanukah

The Sefarim write that Zos Chanukah, the eighth day of Chanukah is the final gmar din from Rosh HaShanah. This is alluded to in the verse that states תשב אנוש עד דכא, you cause man to return until he is humbled. The word דכא has the numerical value 25, alluding to Chanukah that occurs on the twenty-fifth day of Kisleiv. Similarly, the word זאת from זאת חנוכה equals 408, which is the same numerical value as the words צום, ממון, and קול, fasting, charity and prayer.
